Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a significant and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area near the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any damage is not yet known and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - stated they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with notable success and destroyed a number of missiles," it added.
Officials reported wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
