Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, but can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.

But I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
