The new release arrives after the heels of the sci-fi Battlefield 2042, published in the past to a poor reception it struggled to recover from.

"We probably would find it impossible to build and design this new game absent the insights we gained in the last release," the manager shares with us.

One of those lessons was to get players participating early, and the developers launched exclusive fan playtests earlier this year.

This "response was extremely encouraging," says Rebecka.

Another absent ingredient from Battlefield 2042 was a single-player campaign, which has been brought back in this version.

Criterion creative lead Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual tasked with "ensuring those levels are as fun and compelling as can be for the audience."

Despite claims that the size of the game had put a strain on the various teams collaborating globally to develop the game, the director is upbeat about the endeavor.

"Partnering with diverse backgrounds, varied backgrounds, it's a really fascinating setting to be involved in on a regular basis," he explains.

"This entire strategy has been a fresh take but something truly thrilling because we are partnering with team members from around the globe."

Concerning the anticipation on the developers, Fas states: "We feel demand but also it's motivating.

"This is a major venture. It's arguably the largest that the majority of the team have before participated in."

New Developer Contributes Fresh View
